Eileen Obermiller, Landscape Architect

Over 20 years experience designing in the Oregon High Desert as a Landscape Architect

Eileen Obermiller is a Landscape Architect with over 20 years of experience in land use planning and landscape design. She has resided in central Oregon since 1993 and has been a registered Landscape Architect with the state of Oregon since 1997. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Design and Management. Eileen has been an OSU Master Gardener since 2008.

Her design philosophy is to create beautiful places based on her client’s personal tastes and preferences that are supported by natural systems.

She achieves this by evaluating the natural and built systems affecting the site then establishes circulation patterns, areas for desired activities, and areas for environmental functions. The resulting site layout is then complemented with plant selections responsive to microclimates, surface drainage, and sun patterns.

Before opening Dappled Earth, LLC in May 2007, Eileen worked as a Landscape Architect and land use planner for Deschutes County Community Development Department, Deschutes National Forest, and several consulting firms in central Oregon and the Portland metropolitan area. She has successfully teamed with property owners, developers, club boards, civil engineers, surveyors, landscape contractors, city and county planners, attorneys, architects, and plant suppliers to develop a variety of successful projects.

Dappled Earth, LLC is certified a Women Business Enterprise and a Tier 1 Emerging Small Business.  Computer aided design capabilities include a variety of formats compatible with AutoCAD, Land Desktop, and Graphite Ashlar-Vellum.
